Characters and Plot:
The book Twilight was a very interesting book. With Bella moving to Forks with her dad because her mom didn’t want to choose between Bella and Phil (Bella’s mom’s second husband) (Page 3-7). Bella knew she would be the new girl from the big city, a curiosity, a freak (Page 10). Bella settled into her now “home” and was getting comfortable. Weeks later Bella was sitting next to Him. Edward Cullen that is, she couldn’t help but stare at him. Clueless of what he actually is. Pages and pages go by of Bella and Edward falling in love. But that's when she hangs out with Jacob. Jacob (not knowing what he is either) tells Bella stories. Bella soon figures it out and asks Edward about it. He finally tell her what he is, but she still isn’t afraid of him. Bella falls deeply in love with him. And soon begins to fall too deeply and gets hurt by it. Bella has trouble with visitors that don’t like human. Visitors that don't like humans. Bella never stops holding on, she would never leave him. No matter how dangerous it gets she’s still in it. She’s in it for life.
Important Themes and Symbols
There are many themes in Twilight and also through the whole series. One of the biggest themes in the Twilight is the choice that the Cullen’s make. They choose to deny their own culture and go against everyone else like them (which makes them AMAZING). They choose to prey on animals instead of choosing to prey on humans. Rather they are wrong or right they are still going against their natural instincts and giving up something that is really hard to do. Yes, they mess up sometimes and go after blood; but that’s once in a blue moon. Think about it this way, If there was a man that loved meat. All he ate was meat. Meat for Breakfast, lunch, dinner, and snack. And one day his Dr. Says that he can’t eat meat anymore or he’ll die. How easy do you think it would be for him to stop eating meat? It would be very hard! And i bet that he will eat meat once in a great while. It’s remarkable how people can change for the good. Even though they still mess up they are still doing something good and that’s what makes it the biggest theme in Twilight.
