Author's Purpose
Stephine Meyers was a stay at home mom. Married for 15 years. When she wrote the book she wasn't talking to her husband alot, she thought she was going insane. She didn't know who she was anymore, she bottled everything up and never let it out. Stephanie lived in her head for the most part. She got the idea of The Twilight from a dream she says. She wrote down everything she remembered the next day when she had the dream. “I woke up *on that June 2nd* from a very vivid dream” (http://stepheniemeyer.com/the-story-of-twilight-getting-published/)
She completed the novel in three months, in hopes of just keeping a memory. Stephanie had her sister read the book she wrote and she thought it was AMAZING! Stephine Meyers said she didn't have any intention to publish the novel, but when her sister read she persuaded her to send it in. Stephine wrote 15 letters to the publishing inc. 9 of those letters were rejected, and 5 of them were not answered. In november of 2003 Stephanie $750,000 three book deal with Little Brown and Company. Stephanie Meyers had published her book in 2005 with 75,000 copies.
